Carrie Parker

Carrie Parker is a Senior Paralegal and North Carolina State Certified Paralegal with Triangle Divorce Lawyers. She supports attorneys and clients in divorce, child custody, and other North Carolina family law matters. Originally from Virginia, Carrie has called North Carolina home for more than 30 years and has lived in Johnston County for 29 years.

Carrie earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. After teaching kindergarten, first grade, and second grade for 15 years, she transitioned into the legal profession and became a North Carolina State Certified Paralegal in 2006.

Her decision to pursue a career in family law was influenced by her own experience with child custody litigation. Having personally navigated a difficult legal process, Carrie understands how emotional and overwhelming family law matters can feel. She draws on that perspective to help clients feel informed, supported, and better prepared as their cases move forward.

In her role as a Senior Paralegal, Carrie assists the legal team with case organization, preparation, communication, and the many details involved in family law matters. She is committed to helping clients understand what to expect and making the legal process feel more manageable during divorce, custody disputes, and other significant family transitions.

Outside the office, Carrie enjoys spending time with her three grown children, Britt, Brad, and Izzy, and her granddaughters, Meadow and Brooke. She and her former partner have developed a positive relationship over the years, giving her additional perspective on how families can move forward after separation.

Carrie is also an experienced equestrian with a lifelong connection to horses. While attending William & Mary, she competed on the college's equestrian team through the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association. Over the years, she has retrained numerous off-the-track Thoroughbreds, competed in eventing through the Preliminary level, and was ranked eighth in the nation in the early 2000s. She has also foxhunted with Triangle Hunt and served as District Commissioner of the Raleigh Triangle Pony Club.

Today, Carrie manages a small farm where she cares for horses, chickens, cats, and dogs. She is especially passionate about the American Mustang and has owned and trained five wild-born mustangs adopted through the Bureau of Land Management's Wild Horse and Burro Program.
